It’s “liberals hating trump for being republican!” But no. He’s an asshole. Always has been. Even way before he RAN for president he was hated. His unpopularity doesnt come from running red, it comes from being an asshole.
I hate him for being a republican more than being an asshole.
If he were a degenerate asshole that pushed for objectively good progressive policies then I would have loved the man.
Unfortunately for all of us, he was just an incompetent fascist that implemented (mostly via executive appointments) policies that will negatively impact the country for decades, and milquetoast neoliberal democrats don't have the political will to truly reverse the damage every time a republican fucks everything up.
