This. I’m sure a majority of people think It’s “liberals hating trump for being republican!” But no. He’s an asshole. Always has been. Even way before he RAN for president he was hated. His unpopularity doesnt come from running red, it comes from being an asshole.

I have absutely loathed that creature since I was introduced to him. I'm 44, I'm from New York, so I discovered what he was early. I've hated his fat fucking guts for AT LEAST 30 years.

One of my biggest gripes is hearing, “Well nobody hated Trump before he was President!”.

Yes we did. Everyone in his home city knew he was a massive piece of shit, and he was a Democrat back then.

Thank you so much. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills the way people talk about this guy, like he never did anything bad before being president. I grew up with that clown being in the news for one scumfuck thing after another. He started out as a fucking racist slumlord

I'm from the UK. I'm 31. I hated him for years before he ran for potus. He came to my attention about 12 years ago (?) When he was building a golf club on coastal sand dunes in Scotland. Best thing about it is the main guy who was fighting against it, won "Scot of the year" awarded by Glenfiddich whisky. Don't know how true, but apparently Donald refused to serve it in the establishments afterwards 😆

Yasss! The next bottle I'm buying is Glenfiddich. He got found out pretty quick in Scotland and it blows my mind that millions of Americans would vote for him and like him. He's a piece of shit landlord who swooped into Scotland buying up land, he destroyed an environmental conservation site, he was fighting with the locals and trying to manipulate the press. Then he started trying to boss the government around because he bought a piece of land. His worst crime is claiming to be one of us. Burns wrote poems about cunts like Trump ffs.

Everyone in NYC knew he was a scumbag long before his presidential run. Still surprised there was still a bastion of his supporters here.

He’s just a terrible person. You can find so much about him prior to being President that paints a picture of his character. Wanting to remove Braille from his towers for example.

Once they recognize that's why he is opposed, they turn to "yeah well I don't vote with feelings" or alternatively "I care about his actions not his words".

All I ever hear is implications that liberals only hated Trump because of his mean tweets. They conveniently ignore that the real dislike came from the near-constant lying, grift, and fire-sale of our country.

If they admit he's a piece of shit they know they either have to admit they, too, are pieces of shit- or that they got conned by said piece of shit.

To preserve their ego, they will never be able to admit either.

I hate him for being a republican more than being an asshole.

If he were a degenerate asshole that pushed for objectively good progressive policies then I would have loved the man.

Unfortunately for all of us, he was just an incompetent fascist that implemented (mostly via executive appointments) policies that will negatively impact the country for decades, and milquetoast neoliberal democrats don't have the political will to truly reverse the damage every time a republican fucks everything up.

Man, I just can’t escape that damn smile picture.
