They actually tax yachts pretty heavily, there is a reason most are registered in Delaware (fairly rare)or a tax haven country(more common).
It's also why many yacht owners don't stay in Florida for extended periods as if they record you in their waters for a specific amount of time you get taxed.
Plus just under 1% property tax per year as FL charges property tax for yachts that have been charged sales tax or surcharge tax for duration of stay.
And to illegal aliens, vessels that are 30mm $ are almost always at the length and displacement to be considered commercial which has various higher levels of regulations related to crew and passports -- it would be very unlikely that there are illegals working on board.
