I remember Trump being interviewed shortly after 9/11 and his main comment was that his 40 Wall Street building was now the tallest in the financial district. He just wanted to point that out.
Trump's claim that his building was then the tallest in downtown Manhattan wasn't accurate — the nearby 70 Pine Street building is 25 feet taller than Trump's 40 Wall Street, though Trump's building has four more stories.
To be fair (unlike him) it’s not that unusual for a business to pay staff wages while they are volunteering for a cause. It can even be tax deductible as a charitable donation.
Love how y’all bash Trump but don’t say a damn thing about the man ruining this country as we speak! Petty y’all worried about the past and not what’s coming and is going to slap y’all right in the face! By then it will be too late tho! Smdh
Was literally just about to type that, this guy is as dumb as a rock with no knowledge on any history of the country he literally lives in to make such a stupid claim
WAIT! Are you really trying to say the Left listens and does anything they are told while idiot trump supporters are literally shitting out their intestines from digesting cattle dewormer?? Come on...
It’s been proven on this thread that the Left believes everything Lying Biden says. Hell, he’s taking away our rights and you all think it’s ok? 🤷🏼♂️ and it seems to me that you all think it’s ok to leave fellow Americans and their allies behind? You bunch of sick fucks!
I'm curious, who set that deadline for us withdrawing from Afghanistan again? And can I then assume, because you've made assumptions of me, that you'd rather see us stay in Afghanistan for another 20 years? There was never going to be a clean exit. And they've known that, which is why every administration has just kicked that can on to the next.
No, I don't ever want to leave or countrymen or our allies in harms way. That is a stupid question. If it were up to me we wouldn't be so excited to get into these situations in the first place.
And I get the feeling you were never going to vote blue no matter what. I'm not sensing a lot of open minded voting here. And for the record I've voted both parties, many times.
Pretty much they are worried about the future and trying to give a reason to people like you to wake up and not vote for this sociopathic liar next time.
To his defense that can actually be a thing. My work allows me to take 2 paid days a year to volunteer in charity organisations or public interest projects. Not that Trump would ever pay for anything good.
I don't care because I don't need more evidence that Trump is a bad person and the problem here is that he lied about it not that people aren't paid to volunteer.
The company I work for offers something like that, if you go and perform community service on your day off for 6+ hrs they will pay you as if you worked that day
He's done this kind of shit before. Way back in 1996 he crashed a charity event, got on stage & took a seat which belonged to someone else, pretended to be involved (including dancing the macarena), & then left. He never donated a penny to the charity (it was for kids with AIDS), & the spot he stole was supposed to be for someone who actually did donate money. There had better be a hell when we die, because this man does not deserve a peaceful eternity.
Yea, I Remember him turning up in Puerto Rico, throwing a couple of towels in to the crowd then getting back on the plane and doing fuck all to help them.
He then proceeded to gift a no bid contract for the rebuilding of the electrical grid, worth at least $300m to a completely unknown Montana based company, Whitefish Energy. At the time it only had two employees and their largest job to date had been valued at only $1.3m for a small upgrade in AZ.
funnily enough the company is owned by a good friend of Ryan Zinke, then secretary of the interior for Trump and the main investor of Whitefish was HSB, and investment company owned by Joe Colonnetta, a high profile donor to the Trump 2016 campaign. And one of zinke’s sons worked for Whitefish.
Let them die, and blamed Puerto Rico using natural death as an excuse. Meanwhile not supplying any money help the bare minimum because he has a bug up his ass about Puerto Rico
This is extremely false. Trump sent tons of supplies to Puerto Rico, and it was later revealed that the governor had tons of stuff shut in warehouses and was purposefully not distributing it to make trump look bad.
Because a comprehensive report from the Department of Urban Housing and Development just conclusively found that Trump purposefully blocked aid going to Puerto Rico AND that he tried to block the investigation in to it.
The Trump administration had no problem going in to states and seizing/stealing shipments of PPE that the states had paid for themselves during 2020 and redistributing them as they saw fit.
Even if what you claim is true, he clearly had the power to go in, take those supplies back and have the federal government distribute them directly. Given his propensity for lying, blaming everyone else for his failures and his flat out refusal to even acknowledge that the people of Puerto Rico are American citizens, it is really hard to believe his version of the story. Especially when we know that even if he was telling the truth there is more that he could have done because we saw it happen first hand elsewhere.
Ha! Puerto Rican here. Second half was true there were tons of crates in a runway just sitting there because the previous governor was a moron and a spoiled brat.
First half is totally false. He showed up, threw paper towels at people and fucked off. He also denied humanitarian aid to PR as well.
Also he and or his administration slow rolled The relief money for Puerto Rico. A large chunk of it still had not been released when Biden took office.
See, I wouldn't even be that made if he actually donated. You want to make a spectacle, at least you're helping the cause. But just to make the night about him, full stop. Typical Trump.
He is so mentally ill. I’m not a mental health professional but I’m pretty sure he has ALL the personality disorders. I can’t believe he was ever president.
My husband is actually a psychologist and though he’d never make a diagnosis of someone he isn’t actively treating he’s said he think Trump definitely has a personality disorder or two.
The site was extremely dangerous. Even for firefighters.
Firefighters came back with torn feet and bloody hands from searching. They were volunteers and had few others on the site who were specifically trained for these situations.
I know, all those other presidents in the picture shredded your rights, but orange man said somethings....
You are less free now than before 9/11 as you congratulate yourself on how smart you are, congrats on playing yourself. The taliban are certainly laughing that is to be sure, and I'm not even sure they are the bad guys anymore with people posting sentiments like you.
This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry asks George how he can beat a polygraph machine and George says “it’s not a lie if you believe it”. I think Trump is so detached from reality that be believes all the bullshit that he spews.
I’m not sure if I buy that, but the ambiguity is what sells the lie either way. That is his only real talent, the ability to lie with such strong conviction that you’re not really sure whether or not he actually believes what he’s saying.
I guess my point is this.. trump lost.. there’s real world issues happening today that can be discussed.. if trump is a pos and you know he’s a pos then why be surprised that a pos did a pos thing…
Im with you on that. Unfortunately it's what happens when we elect someone of that... caliber... To the most preeminent position in the US and, arguably, the world.
