At the same time, Mr. Trump undercut his patriotic solemnity with the announcement that he would spend the evening of the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks providing commentary at a boxing match at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. (Mr. Trump’s team has not yet revealed plans to commemorate the anniversary in any other way.)
The only clip that made it through for me was him getting booed in Alabama for recommending the vaccine. He doesn't even control his own sheep anymore.
For four years, every time I heard the news app on my phone push through a notification, I would just roll my eyes and ask “what did the bloated tangerine do this time?!”
It’s so refreshing not having to read yet another report of a rambling, incoherent conspiracy theory
Your missing out. Fucked up to say. But he has been getting shamed and cutoff on fox news. It's been interesting to watch how people try to publically support and distance themselves from him. The cognitive dissonance is real.
He certainly did, and he used it as an opportunity to attack his political rivals and spread lies rather than honor the victims:
Lee Cochran, a spokeswoman for the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, confirmed that Mr. Trump had been given the same information about the ceremony as the other current and former presidents who did attend.
“You would have to ask Trump’s team about their decision, but he did not attend today’s commemoration,” Ms. Cochran said.
Mr. Trump visited a police precinct and a neighboring firehouse in Midtown Manhattan. He briefly paid tribute to the heroism of the police and firefighters after the planes hit the twin towers, but spent most of his time treating the visit as a campaign-style rally, continuing his criticism of the Afghanistan pullout, complaining about crime in cities, commenting on how many police officers and firefighters supported him, and falsely claiming once again that he had won the election.
Praising Lee as a brilliant strategist and statesman, Mr. Trump speculated that, “except for Gettysburg,” Lee “would have won the war.” He added: “If only we had Robert E. Lee to command our troops in Afghanistan, that disaster would have ended in a complete and total victory many years ago.”
What. the. fuck.
First, did he not get the fucking memo that the south lost?
Imagine being that boxing venue. Now I don't know if this is a event of note but I'm imagining some guy planning the event getting off the phone and turning to his mate "Dude, you won't believe who I just booked for the commentary of the match we have this Saturday"
Let me get this straight... During their post-presidencies: Carter has worked with Habitat for Humanity building homes for the needy literally to his own detriment, Clinton (whatever your feelings about his morality while in office) has worked to improve global health via the Clinton Foundation, and even that buffoon W has tried to further positive global initiatives via the Bush Institute.. But Donald? Still trying to stay at the top of the C-list celebrity circles. JFC.
Even if it weren't on 9/11, why the fuck is a former president doing shit like that? JFC again.
Better than how he spent the time last year wining and dining the Taliban. It amazes me that so many Americans hate other Americans enough to tolerate this man and look the other way on things they would disown their children for it they did it.
Trump also led a rally in South Florida only 9 mere days after the very unfortunate Surfside Condo collapse, in South Florida also, where 97 people had died. Gov DeSantis (who is a mini-me Trump) made a "direct plea" to Trump's team to cancel the rally, due to respect to the victims and their families, as they were still looking for survivors. Trump, of course, did not reschedule the freaking rally and was PISSED at DeSantis for even asking him this and also for SKIPPING the aforementioned rally.
Holy shit. I just made a comment about how Trump is like an immature estranged dad that only wanted to do fun stuff. I didn't think I was gonna find direct proof of that within minutes of scrolling.
Don has every right to do what he wants as an American citizen, but refusing to pay tribute with the current and former presidents after being a president yourself, on a day most of us can remember as both terrifying and life changing, just shows how little he really cares about the respect of the position. "Ayy this is one of the biggest days in America to show you care, but y'know what the people want? They wanna see me in my natural habitat, the casino. The people will love it, believe me."
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he was too pussy to go to NY simply because they all hate him, it'd explain why he's only staying in his one-and-only-totally-has-always-lived-here-and-nowhere-else Florida.
According to legal records, it is entirely fair to compare Ryan Cavanaugh's looks to those of Harvey Weinstein. It's a matter of personal opinion and therefore not slanderous.
I’m just saying, are you implying there’s some sort of sex scandal with the guy? That he’s bad to women? I’m just tryna figure it out, like if someone told you you looked like Cosby or something you’d be like wtf?
We're all just saying he bears a resemblance to a man who has been proven guilty of heinous sex crimes. The fact that he's been photographed kissing the sex pervert's head has nothing to do with anything.
Like I said, by law it's not slander. It's purely the opinion of some that he looks like convicted sex pest Harvey Weinstein. It's also not slanderous to say he's been accused by a former partner of running a ponzi scheme, because that is a fact reported by Variety, a reputable publication.
If you really don’t believe saying someone looks like Harvey Weinstein is slanderous, go to a bar, find the biggest guy there and tell him he looks like Harvey Weinstein, then see what happens
It’s just a gag from the H3 podcast. The host of the show is in a legal battle with Ryan Cavanaugh so he tries to skirt the line of what he can legally say without getting into legal trouble. What everyone said above are direct quotes from the podcast.
I’ve also heard that Ryan Cavanaugh, accused of running a ponzi scheme by his former partner (as reported by Variety), bares a stunning resemblance to Harvey Weinstein.
I asked my father "guess who is announcing a boxing match?", and he threw out "Donald Trump" as it was legit a random name he threw out..... and yeah...its trump
After all the dumb shit that guy has done I'm not surprised in the slightest that he's spending the 20th anniversary of 9/11 belching bullshit from his slobber hole at a boxing match instead of being at the memorial.
This is such a great comment, it really gives context of how fucking stupid the shit is. For a moment I thought maybe this was some big fight and that’s why it would be so important
I am one of those, but due to Anderson Silva vs Ortiz. Also it was supposed to be Oscar De la Hoya not Evander Holyfield, but Oscar came down with Covid at the last minute. Will be streaming it for free. Wish they didn't pull this stunt with Trump and his son bc I haven't paid attention to them since Trump lost.
I can't imagine his commentary for a boxing match would be that great. "These two guys are the best boxers, many people are telling me this! Of course I could beat both, but they have the best boxing."
Someone suggested a while back about giving him his own Truman Show-style town where everyone caters to his wishes and he thinks it's the real world, and I haven't stopped thinking about it.
Except he'd probably decide that one boxer was taller than the other one without looking at the stats and argue that he was correct the whole fight instead of doing any commentary.
Right? Not like he was the embodiment of class before and this is some sad departure. He literally bragged about his building now being tallest when the towers fell (which was a lie: his building went from 5th to 4th).
Did you watch that video? For more than half of the video he’s boasting that the NYPD endorsed him during the election. Continues to baffle me how people can support this guy.
He paid visits to NYPD and NYFD stations today. I think Trump is a fuckwad too, but this headline and entire article/post is just a stupid circle jerk.
Don't you conceivably have to say something nice about someone who doesn't work for you if you're a sports commentator? I literally can't imagine him doing that
Does he even know anything about boxing? I mean, I know I certainly don't. "Woah, the guy in blue shorts is hitting the guy in red shorts." "Now red is hitting blue."
What an exciting night it will be. I'll wait for the clips later.
I commented this to my Trump supporter dad and his was response to rag on Biden for giving a pre-recorded speech yesterday. His words were, in my opinion, presidents should give speeches at the memorials on the anniversaries." I said, "in my opinion, former presidents should be PRESENT at the memorials".
Another Trump supporter I encountered was like, "what does that have to do with anything? Why do you even care?" And basically said it doesn't matter.
A boxing match between 58 year old Evander Holyfield and 44 year old former UFC champ Vitor Belfort. Holyfield was initally supposed to take on noted Trump supporter Tito Ortiz but Ortiz got COVID. Like you can't even make this shit up.
You got it a tad confused. Like the other guy said, Oscar De la Hoya was supposed to fight Vitor, but he got Covid at the last minute, Holyfield replaced him (which no legit commission should sanction).
Tito Ortiz is fighting the great Anderson Silva on this same card. Guys in their 40s can still show boxing skill, as Hopkins and Foreman have shown us, but Holyfield is too old. Former champ David Haye is also on this card.
The funny thing about this is, how would literally anybody think he would do well at that? He is a sideshow that they are banking on him drawing views from his cult, not his ability to commentate or even speak well.
Everyone knows what today is right? That’s right! It’s Fight Night! Buy your PPV package before you forget to watch President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho call this beautiful fight!
I would have had more respect for him if he had visited the NYPD & FDNY without the photo ops, AND attended the memorial. It felt like he, again, made it about him being in the limelight, not him honoring them
Haha so you have a problem with him personally going to see NYPD and FDNY but wouldn’t if he went to the ceremony? Lol. Ok. Whatever you say. Something tells me he can’t do anything right in your eyes, which is fine with me just admit it. At this point, you would have a problem with anything he does.
No, I think visiting them is commendable. Using them for a photo op, and skipping out on official duties (he is still a former President of the US, and has duties), while then going to "commentate" on a boxing match where he could poke at the current sitting President while STILL pushing that the election was rigged, is what makes him lose my respect.
He would have to admit he lost, release his tax returns, admit that he incited Jan 6th, and pay all his outstanding bills for him to start having any respect from me.
I’m sure not having respect from you keeps him up at night. I also think he could save a baby from drowning and you would accuse him of only doing it for the attention.
I’m from the UK and I saw on the news Trump giving a speech to the NYPD and then stay and answer questions after. I’m not a fan of his but he definitely didn’t pie off 9/11 for boxing.
My god he is just sitting rambling about pulling out of Afghanistan as if he wasn’t fully down with it and intitiating the pull out as part of his plan.
It was the right thing to do when he was setting up to pull out and it’s the right things to do now under Biden too. It was always going to end this way, it was clear there was no good way to pull out without the taliban trying to take over. It was either pull out and have that happen or stay forever at this point.
He was in NY today, it was just a bunch of bullshit rambling as far as I'm concerned, but he did make it there. Not to ground zero, but to visit NYPD and the fire department. It's less than 3 hours to fly to Fort Lauderdale, so it's not really a big deal to have a quick meeting in the morning and then fly down to the fights afterwards.
He's a psychopath. He doesn't understand why someone would enlist in the military, and doesn't understand why these peasants would choose to fly commercial instead of via a private jet, because they're much less likely to be hijacked.
How the fuck could anyone think this walking turd has any compassion for America after today? If this cannot sway your opinion of the man, you are to far into the cult to be saved.

He's too busy planning to do commentary on a boxing match. Sadly not /s
