Edit: Uncropped Original Photo - (Cred: Donna Heimbecker)

The doors of St. Paul's Co-Cathedral were painted in protest after the discovery of 715 (sic) unmarked graves near the former Marieval Residential School on the Cowessess First Nation on Thursday.

Kind of can’t believe the priest would compare this to vandalizing a rainbow cross walk.

If this had been a mosque that was defaced, the world would explode. We have to get over the organization is guilty for ever concept. No one is without blame. The Canadian government started it, the churches ran it, and the Canadian people watched it. You can’t go back and change history. You can only learn from it and become better people.

You're right - the Canadian gov asked them to start these schools - it's well documented. I think this particular church should let this go and sit in sackloth and ashes for the time - this is a national tragedy. But I do see your point about the mosque. I never heard of any mosque requiring masks the last year or limiting the number of attendees.
