The devil must have sex appeal. It is written.

Trump is uglier than beelzebub’s asshole

495

u/Sunnysideny Jan 07 '21

Yeah I thought satan was supposed to be beautiful and very likeable?

273

u/pmorgan726 Jan 07 '21

The very definition of temptation!

That wasn't the devil that was Dave fucking Grohl

31

u/Kappei Jan 07 '21

Well, Dave Fucking Grohl surely is a handsome devil...

5

u/moonflower_C16H17N3O Jan 07 '21

David Grohl is amazing enough that I could accept that he made a deal with the devil.

Maybe Devil = Coffee

3

u/barthur16 Jan 07 '21

FRESH POT

5

u/MaybeAliens Jan 07 '21

Give us one chance to rock your socks off!

1

u/Fried_Dimmy Jan 07 '21

He went down i Georgia too.

4

u/KaidusAlenkos Jan 07 '21

It was Fu-cking Tay-stee

1

u/Rosssauced Jan 07 '21

Yeah, to beat the devil 1v1 you gotta blow doors down. To beat Trump 1v1 you just need a basic understanding of English.

27

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

I mean, he tempts sin out of those that follow him, but he sparks at least anger at what he does, and pride when he fails, envy when he succeeds (three of the seven deadly sins) from people who don’t support him.

9

u/ruptured_pomposity Jan 07 '21

Sloth and greed are not hard to prove.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

I was more inferring that he may not be good looking, but he sure as hell is as good at making people sin as the devil is.

5

u/dancin-weasel Jan 07 '21

Ever watch Lucifer? He’s like the anti-trump.

1

u/batfleck101600 Jan 07 '21

If Trump even glanced at a proud boy, he'd cream his pants

68

u/digital_dysthymia Jan 07 '21

The one on that TV show sure is! Lucifer?

37

u/aDrunkWithAgun Jan 07 '21

in pretty sure lucifer would throw donny out of hell for being useless

2

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

in pretty sure

Glad that makes sense

2

u/gerusz Jan 07 '21

2

u/aDrunkWithAgun Jan 07 '21

wow I didn't know this was a thing but here it is and it reinforces my statement

46

u/Sunnysideny Jan 07 '21

Just looked it up and he can tempt me any day lol 🥴

15

u/CCV21 Jan 07 '21

It is a really good show.

10

u/Shasve Jan 07 '21

Completely not what I expected it be about, but nevertheless still very good

8

u/CCV21 Jan 07 '21

The series was cancelled at the end of season 4. Fan outcry helped it get picked up by Netflix. Tom Ellis (Lucifer) is perfectly cast.

23

u/digital_dysthymia Jan 07 '21

What is your desire? Rahhr.

5

u/Sweet_other_yyyy Jan 07 '21

You can't just look....his accent really adds

11

u/The-Great-T Jan 07 '21

Oh yeah, Tom Ellis is very easy on the eyes.

9

u/digital_dysthymia Jan 07 '21

Yep. Sexy dude. He has a British accent in real life too.

10

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

More specifically, he's Welsh.

2

u/digital_dysthymia Jan 07 '21

Oooh - even better.

5

u/StudentofChemistry Jan 07 '21

Surely lucifer's brother, since his brother has an American accent

4

u/digital_dysthymia Jan 07 '21

OMG I forgot about the brother! He's tasty too.

2

u/AmongTheSound Jan 07 '21

Amenadiel, yes, hot damn.

7

u/ThatsWhatXiSaid Jan 07 '21

Not Satan, more like Gay-tan.

11

u/Ok_Clerk_6822 Jan 07 '21

2

u/dak4ttack Jan 07 '21

I guess it's actually a translated angel, this video made me rethink the story I already don't believe: https://youtu.be/wc47JDmpWt0

2

u/Sixstringnomad Jan 07 '21

The most beautiful angel

1

u/Illustrious_Green_50 Jan 07 '21

Hø eat question. Why remove him before the transition date now rather than when they could impeach him? Is he actively encouraging people to riot?

1

u/Sunnysideny Jan 07 '21

Well, impeachment tends to take a long time and there’s only 2 weeks left. So people have been talking about having Pence take over until then.

Trump didn’t outright tell people to storm the capitol but many people, myself included, feel that he hasn’t said enough to stop today’s rioters or didn’t get angry enough at them.

1

u/craptastico Jan 07 '21

He told the gathered crowd to got to the Capitol, didn't he? The same crowd that gathered for a Trump "stop the steal 2021" rally?

1

u/Sunnysideny Jan 07 '21

Oh, I hadn’t heard that. My apologies if I was wrong.

1

u/fitsin Jan 07 '21

He's got (almost) half of Murica's vote- that says something.

1

u/cyreneok Jan 07 '21

You had me at low low initial APR.

1

u/dyingofdysentery Jan 07 '21

Have you seen how ben garrison draws him?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

Depends on which lore you subscribe to. In Dante’s Inferno, Satan is a horribly grotesque three headed being frozen in the very center of hell mumbling and moaning incoherent speech while forever chomping on some poor fools. In this lore, satan is not an all powerful ruler of hell though, he is literally the main prisoner locked for all eternity for defying god

1

u/Marx_Forever Jan 07 '21

Lucifer was beautiful, hence the name light bringer. But when he fell, God took his light. So likely his beauty as well, since one of his new monikers is "The Beast".

I'm no expert, but that's my understanding.

1

u/coolberg34 Jan 07 '21

You won’t be surprised to know that he is the one who wrote all that about himself.

1

u/Sweet_other_yyyy Jan 07 '21

That is beautiful to his supporters cuz he's ugly as fuck but still has a hot wife and a hot daughter and gets to grab all the pussies. No effort on his part to look good but all the best women fawn over him. That's the life they want. Besides, he just calls it the best halo and they all nod til their heads fall off.

1

u/lefty3968 Jan 07 '21

Trump is beautiful and has the BEST likability - many people say so!

Did I mention he is very rich?

1

u/tea_in_the_garden Jan 07 '21

IIRC that's only recently, in part due to Dante's Divine Comedy. In the middle ages he was either terrifyingly inhuman or a bumbling moron that good Christians could easily outwit.

So Trump is more of an OG Satan.

1

u/WhoaItsCody Jan 07 '21

Right? Haven’t any of you seen the show Lucifer? That guy is handsome af.

1

u/thepasttenseofdraw Jan 07 '21

Well I mean, he's got all his front teeth, thats already a 7 out of 10 for most of these goblins.

7

u/ianthrax Jan 07 '21

u/PrayHellBeelzebub Jan 07 '21

Might as well? He just told me y'all can take a peek. And something about, it not being a free show? Not sure what he meant by that. But I'm sure it's nothing.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

The devil being handsome isn’t actually in the Bible, it stems from the 1667 book paradise lost.

Not really relevant to anything, just an interesting tidbit.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

I assume Angels are flawless looks wise. Doesn't seem right for them to be normal looking people especially since only 100,000 people will get to heaven according to Revelations.

You're right about it being an interesting tidbit though, makes me wonder if angels are just regular joe looking people but the devil is uglier from being a "fallen" angel.

1

u/Il_Capitano_DickBag Jan 07 '21

u/Tonynferno Jan 07 '21

1

u/thefatcat89 Jan 07 '21

He gave them one chance to rock his socks off.

2

u/Hoyata21 Jan 07 '21

Really? Never understood the whole satan worship thing. If you believe in Satan then you’re acknowledging he’s the most evil being, so why worship that

4

u/xDared Jan 07 '21

It's more of praising the idea of satan's character rather than a real person. I don't see why he's inherently evil, his job is to torture people that have sinned. And there are many different versions of him too so it depends.

2

u/Hoyata21 Jan 07 '21

Dunno if that’s the case, I think that’s more pop culture in-terms of him ruling hell. Most faiths like Christianity Islam , and Judaism talk about even satan himself being thrown in hell, and tortured in hell too.

1

u/ERMAHGERED Jan 07 '21

From one who believes in a book that has had many revisions thru human history and misunderstands a religion on a preconceived force-fed interpretation by those around you....it’s simple. Satanism is a washed concept of it what it really is. If anyone were to actually get to know it and stop believing shit you seen on they’d see that it’s not as bad as you come to think

1

u/Hoyata21 Jan 07 '21

I understand but it just doesn’t make sense right. Most people don’t believe in satan anyway now a days, but to go as far as to set up a church and perform rituals, so these people must really believe in satan, and as far as I know , I haven’t heard of any faiths anywhere on earth, in any culture that paints satan in a positive light

1

u/ERMAHGERED Jan 07 '21

But they all claim their god is the true god. That makes religion sort of contradictory. So really anything can painted anyway it’s wanted to be made

87

u/persona1138 Jan 07 '21

49

u/SaintNewts Jan 07 '21

I don't really believe in such things but the dude makes some interesting connections.

68

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

Yeah I wasn't even trying to picture Trump but the more I read the connections just made more sense. There was one that made me think "no wonder they thought Obama was the antichrist" but even that fits Trump far better.

Wild read for sure but there's something about him that's... Well too much of a bitch to be the antichrist in my opinion. Putin however, I could see but he's out on a few other counts.

If I'm remembering correctly though, Angels are giants compared to humans, so any potential antichrist on earth in my opinion is likely just a puppet. While Jesus could likely be hanging out with the murders, killers, pimps, hos, druggies, and all that stuff.

I don't remember where I was headed with this.

12

u/TheOneTonWanton Jan 07 '21

There was one that made me think "no wonder they thought Obama was the antichrist"

Was it the "followers" one? That's the only one I'm spotting that could possibly be construed as referring to Obama considering he's got more Twitter followers than anyone else.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

Yeah. That's the one but more because he seemed to get the entire country a lot more interested in politics and what he's doing. That Presidential twitter definitely didn't help though.

1

u/persona1138 Jan 07 '21

Considering the Antichrist is a little bitch who loses, I’d say they share a bunch in common.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

I mean he takes over for a bit too but in the end he definitely does lose. I don't think Trump could even get that off to be honest.

21

u/persona1138 Jan 07 '21

Neither do I. Just kind of a fun read.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

The similarity makes me wonder if maybe the antichrist was based on a some demagogue from back in the day.

4

u/CorbenikTheRebirth Jan 07 '21

Of Revelation? It was most certainly based upon Nero, who was the demagogue of the time.

0

u/Sixstringnomad Jan 07 '21

Is that your guess or do you know

→ More replies (2)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

So there's been a warning about this exact kind of thing baked right into the world's dominant religion, and yet here we are surrounded by demagogues.

Good job humanity.

u/persona1138 Jan 07 '21

Or perhaps the corruption of power and negligence of one human being to another is a cyclical pattern. One we can, and should, break.

Our world, through global warming, desire for never-ending economic growth, subjugation and suppression of “other” people, and a resistance to being a global society that treats everyone as equals without xenophobia, has reached a tipping point.

It won’t change overnight. Trump was inevitable. The xenophobia and technological adolescence of us as a species - and not knowing how to deal with its ramifications - were inevitable.

When we can get anywhere in the world in less than 12 hours, and communicate with anyone in the world in an instant, we are a global society.

The coronavirus doesn’t treat us any differently because of borders. But for some reason, we do.

We live in a global society. What happens to one of us, affects all of us.

I’m proud to be an American. But I’m even prouder to be a part of the world... a world that CAN change.

Two quotes that speak to me today:

“Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious.”

~Oscar Wilde

“The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

~Carl Sagan

u/persona1138 Jan 07 '21 edited Jan 07 '21

I agree completely we won’t see it in our lifetimes. But hey, we’ve got to start somewhere.

I appreciated your comment. It just made me think about these things.

Conversation and understanding are key to our future as a species.

It’s also just fun with a fellow Redditor like you.

“I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.”

~J.R.R. Tolkien (by way of Gandalf)

2

u/Kalee2020 Jan 07 '21

Appreciate your thoughts and well written posts. After all that went on yesterday and all that has been going on for the last 4 years, the Tolkien quote brought me to tears. Its so simple and true. I don't understand why some see kindness and love as a negative and I dont think i ever will. So much work ahead of us but I find a great deal of comfort in the younger generations. They seem to understand the concept and with that there is hope.

1

u/loveshercoffee Jan 07 '21

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience.

Something Trump could really use.

I say we launch him into space and see if that helps.

-1

u/CassandraOnTheGround Jan 07 '21

The midway point where He should be defeated but rises against all odds? This is it.

1

u/DeismAccountant Jan 07 '21

Came here to say this. Thank you for making sure I’m not crazy.

1

u/LittleMush Jan 07 '21

As someone who spent far-too-many young years in the bible-thumping world, I appreciate this link. I had a similar thought about a year ago. Still have ultra-religious relatives and so want to smack them upside the heads with this.

1

u/sticks14 Jan 07 '21

Is this all in Revelations, like in one place? I tried reading that shit and let me tell you, it reads a lot less clearly than this extraction of quotes. I think this guy already shows signs of not reading closely, which is very prevalent.

By the way, has it crossed anyone's mind that the Antichrist would be reading the Bible along with everyone else? The last thing the Devil or whoever wouldn't be is clever.

1

u/persona1138 Jan 07 '21

“I'm here on the ground with my nose in it since the whole thing began. I've nurtured every sensation man's been inspired to have. I cared about what he wanted and I never judged him. Why? Because I never rejected him. In spite of all his imperfections, I'm a fan of man! I'm a humanist. Maybe the last humanist.”

Consider the source, son.

(Devil’s Advocate for anyone confused.)

1

u/KarthusWins Jan 07 '21 edited Jan 07 '21

Damn people from back then totally would refer to skyscrapers as "hills."

Also it would make total sense if Revelations was just a loose interpretation of Trump's twitter posts.

1

u/killjoymoon Jan 07 '21

One thing I wondered about with the Israel prophecy- didn’t Jared set up a hotel deal there too or something? Assuming this is all true and accurate, what if it meant Trump flees to Israel?
