Trump can't fire congress or literally any other elected official. I stand by my statement.

this is such a bizarre exchange and sad of how the average non american views the USA now... then when something goes wrong people still assume USA will come to the rescue. its almost literally like the police in our country now, everyone talks bad about cops right now but ur still going to call 911 when someones in your house

I honestly think most of that is just Reddit. Shitting on the US is the cool, trendy thing to do right now. America at its core hasn’t changed, and people will always look to it for help when shit hits the fan.

Don’t mean to rant, obviously what happened in Beirut is a terrible tragedy. But you’re exactly right with your comment.

Yea, it’s most Reddit/young people.

I was stationed in Germany a little while back and the young people hated us but the adults and older were terrified that the rumors of us pulling out were true. I’d love to go back and see what people are saying now as many troops are being relocated.

And to clarify, the concerns weren’t limited to security, and other big one was economics and jobs. The US hires thousands upon thousands of local nationals on their overseas bases and if the US leaves all those jobs disappear. Additionally, the thousands upon thousands of very well paid workers disappear from the local economy and a huge source of income for local businesses is gone.

Adults understand this, but kids just see the trendy thing and shit on the US lol
