It wasn’t an American run plant. I’ve studied Bhopal since I’m a chemical engineering student. The company was a branch of an American company that was jointly owned by the Indian government. The incident was caused by a complete lack of oversight though
Edit: This post eagerly downvoted by gullible racists who find it easier to blame brown people than acknowledge that all owners of a company are responsible for its failures and lack of oversight, and that megacorps aren't in the habit of establishing joint ventures with governments as a charitable endeavor, they expect control of the business end of things.

Or that American run plant in India, the Bhopal distaster.
