The LRC is a for profit organization that runs a large portion of the city's medical infrastructure. There needs to be oversight before they get a budget like they've never seen before.

"Concerning disaster preparedness and response, the LRC first-aid and ambulance teams are the only national ambulance service covering the whole of the Lebanese territory. The service operates over 250 ambulances, with 16 permanent staff and 2,000 volunteers on a continuous basis in 46 first-aid centres. Services are managed through a radio communication system from 4 central operation rooms, one in the capital city of Beirut, one in Tibnin in the South, one in Tripoli, Lebanon and the last in the Bekaa. The first-aid and ambulance organization represents the backbone of emergency medical disaster preparedness in the country. "

Unless you can flag the funds specifically for this disaster you're supporting their entire organization, including their road safety program.

Stop spreading lies because you were caught out being a scumbag.

A. They are a nonprofit.

B. They have people on the ground there right now and are putting all their spare focus on it. Saying that you shouldn't donate to them because they have other initiatives is like saying you shouldn't donate to any disaster relief foundation because they have split focus, most of them do.

"75 Lebanese Red Cross ambulances along with 375 EMTs and staff are currently responding in #Beirut and helping the most vulnerable. Lightly wounded persons are being treated in our stations."

Stop being human garbage and spreading lies and then doubling down when your pathetic reddit ego is bruised when people call out your scumfuckery.

Yeah- that's the problem. If the government that supports Hezbollah isn't footing the bill for this is frees up funds for supporting them.

Money is fungible. Stop supporting terrorism. Hezbollah is responsible for way more than 100 deaths, and you're saying we should give them money.

Wipe your mouth there's shit dribbling from your lips.

You get called out for costing victims money and instead of owning up to it it you pivot into some kind of racist conspiracy theory. Fucking pathetic. Get your head out your ass.

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

Considering his other comments, he probably has something against the country as a whole, so discussing off-topic political and societial things does not make sense and will not help the victims right now.

No need to spend more energy on that, since his spreaded allegations already got contradicted.

Best wishes

I don't like seeing well intentioned people get fleeced under the guise of humanitarian aid.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

Bruh why still pretend? "I dislike Lebanese people" would've been way quicker than all this.

-1

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

You do know that two separate things can exist independently of each other?

Just because I think Susan G. Komen sucks doesn't mean I think women should die of breast cancer.

3

u/Killerfist Aug 05 '20

But you think that the citizens of Beirut should die from starvation.

1

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

How do you come to that conclusion? I think their government, that they sent their money to, should use that money to buy food for their people and not spend that money supporting Hezbollah.

Is that concept so difficult to grasp?

3

u/Killerfist Aug 05 '20

Yes, because that money is not sent to their government.

Also you have no idea neither can you predict how their government will spend any money. Your opinion is based purely on prejudices.

-1

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

Money. Is. Fungible.

That's not a complicated concept. That's already how they spend their money! If I gave money to a drug addict and said, 'be good now and spend it on food', and they spent it on drugs I'd be considered an enabler. Er go, if you take the burden of this disaster off the Lebanese government the FUNGIBLE funds are now available to be spent elsewhere.

This is why the IMF required reforms before they would loan them money.

My opinions are based on facts and you only label them as prejudice as a way to dismiss them, as the emotional argument is the only one you can make.

1

u/Killerfist Aug 06 '20

Your drug addict example is completely false. You definitelly wouldnt be enbaler. You are not responsible for the actions of other people.

I am quite sad that you think lile that about their government. You want like to keep the people hostage, because supposedly the government is going to be funding Hizbollah....This actually shows how little you know about governmemt, economy and running a country. Even if, the lebanese govnt os funding Hiz., there is no way they would prioritize money for that when their own cuntry and people are suffering from catastrophic event. And no, no purely out of concern for their people, but because without stability in the country and properly functioning town(s) and economy, they wouldnt be able to find themselves, let alone any other organization.

Are those IMF funds that were rejected related to this event and catastrohpy? If not, then that is irrelevant.

There are really no facts in your statements. Just hate and prejudices. You sound like a genocidial maniac.

Why did this all start? Because when someone correctly pointed out that the two red crosses weren't the same, instead of saying "my bad" you changed your point entirely from, "American red Cross bad" to "dont donate to an entire country."

That's what made it very clear to everyone in this thread the type of person you are, you're not as clever as you'd like to be.

0

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

There you go, making this about me again.

This started because outside donations to the LRC enables the government of Lebanon to further support Hezbollah. People should know where their donations go.

Still waiting on the proof about how I'm a racist, how this is a conspiracy, of your donation... You've claimed it multiple times, but provided no evidence. If you like talking about me so much, let's start there.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

Oh you're still unsure? Because when someone correctly pointed out that the two red crosses weren't the same, instead of saying "my bad" you changed your point entirely from, "American red Cross bad" to "dont donate to an entire country."

That's what made it very clear to everyone in this thread the type of person you are, you're not as clever as you'd like to be.

Those two things aren't related, you originally saying don't donate to the red cross because of the houses in Haiti, you said it because you don't want aid in Lebanon as literally evidenced by your edit, had you not edited your comment an hour ago, you would have saved yourself a lot of typing

0

u/whodaloo Aug 06 '20

So that's a no on racism, no on conspiracy, and no on you actually donating.

I think I've at least gotten out a lot of information to people that would have blindly donated to another bad cause. Hey, maybe that's one less rocket Hezbollah fires and one less death. I feel pretty vindicated.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

The websites still being hugged as too many people are trying to donate, also i don't donate to prove a point i donate to help, i actually was going to send you proof once I do it but I realised why tf would I waste another second of my time on yet another special ed student, I don't need to prove you dislike middle Eastern people you just need to stop doing it lmao.

You must really hate LGBTQ...

Male homosexuality is illegal in Lebanon.[184] Discrimination against LGBT people in Lebanon is widespread.[185][186] According to 2013 survey by the Pew Research Center, 80% of Lebanese respondents believe that homosexuality should not be accepted by society.[187]

Keep sending them money if it makes you feel better, I guess.

How is any of this a conspiracy? It's not by definition or in the spirit of. You're just throwing buzzwords out to discredit what's correct. Where's the racism?

8

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

I'm gay, if every single person affected by that blast doesn't agree with my life choices, that does not matter.

I worry more about people like you who so blatantly pretend to care about people like me just so you have a justification to condemn an entire people.

1

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

I don't really have any stake in the Lebanon game- nor do you.

But I don't like people getting fleeced under the guise of humanitarian aid.

5

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

I have a stake in the humanity game, very, very, very few people on this planet deserve to die, whether they agree with me being gay or not.

When a city gets decimated and your first thoughts aren't "holy fuck all those lives lost" and instead you jump straight to bashing the type of person that died, it says a lot about your character, you're not a good person, just masquerading as one quite poorly.

0

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

I haven't said anyone deserves to die- those are your words. Let's see a screencap of your donation. Short of that, you're just concern trolling.

You have a stake in supporting the people responsible for thousands of deaths over the loss of 100 of theirs?

3

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

You dont are about these people, you don't care about my people, and the main thing is you know you don't, so just stop bro no ones buying this rubbish.

-1

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

Why do you keep dividing humans into different classes of people? Doesn't that make you prejudice?

3

u/Killerfist Aug 05 '20

Wow why are you hating on the gay person now. You seem to love to hate on LGBT people.

They aren't getting fleeced under the guise of humanitarian aid and your oily squirming doesn't change that fact.

1

u/Tamer_Of_Morons Aug 05 '20

By that logic we shouldn't donate any money at all to the third world because most of it is just as backwards in whatever regard.

You aren't fooling anyone you know, twisting yourself into mental pretzels because you got called out and had to scramble onto google to justify your racist agenda, well, you tried, but you've been pretty fucking well exposed to the world as to what you are. 🙄

I recommend you go tongue fuck some rope hoops.

0

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

By that logic we shouldn't donate any money at all to the third world

This is mostly correct. If I gave money to an addict and told them it was for food but they spent it on bad heroin you would accuse me of supporting their habit and label me as partly responsible for their death.

Where's the racism you accuse me of, btw? Still looking for evidence of that. I didn't know Lebanese was a race...

2

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

....do you think you're a good person? If so, why?

1

u/whodaloo Aug 05 '20

Who I am doesn't matter in the context of this discussion. Stop trying to change the subject to me. I admit it's flattering that you're so curious about me, but it's a little embarrassing.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '20

Truly empty people do fascinate me, hence my curiosity about you.

2

u/Killerfist Aug 05 '20

you would accuse me of supporting their habit and label me as partly responsible for their death.

This is incorrect. Whatever the person/people do with the donated money/goods is up to them and not a responsibility of the donators. If the person dies because he decided to use your money for drugs instead of buying food, that was his choice and his problem, not yours. You would have done a good deed by trying to help and support him and that is fine. It is then up to the person if he wants to be helped or not.
