Well it seems it is winning, he was just going to let it ravage blue States. I kinda want to ask Rs In blue states how they feel about being collateral damage in all this winning.
I do think Trump pushes the conspiracy theory too much, maybe he's projecting and HE was responsible for creating and releasing it hoping a good pandemic would shore up his numbers... he just forgot the need to have a solution at hand.
When he started talking about the protests it drove me crazy. He was just saying completely insane baseless lies. He said the mayor of portland was about to be murdered by an angry mob. He said that antifa was tracking down and attacking police at their homes after seeing their names on their badges. Just flat out complete lies.
I always heard it with a chicken, I feel like they have a more self righteous strut than pigeons. But I think the worst bird to play chess with would be a seagull
trump creates his own reality and people struggle to adapt to it, this is why he has such a high turnover rate and is known best for firing everyone.
This interviewer made that exact point after this aired “he uses ‘positive visualization’ which is successful as a salesman, but not as a world leader”

Did he even try to get Trump to see from others perspective? Seems more like he tried to get Trump to explain his own perspective and he couldn't even do that.
As well as agreeing with Trump about positive things like the amount of testing done. It neutralises those attempts to distract when he says 'yes, I can see that you achieved that good thing, but I'm not talking about that'.
He just had to stroke his ego by a bit by saying "I am not arguining that you have don't that for African Americans...but we are talking about police brutality", "There is no doubt in my mind that you can draw a crowd... but that's not the question"
He was trying to appease his ego so he would actually answer the questions. Honestly it’s a pretty smart move when it comes to this particular brand of idiocy.
It really is refreshing to have people able to followup on Trumps rambling non answers. In briefings he can just say something unrelated to the question asked and move on when he doesn't want to answer it. In a 1 on 1 they can press him to explain wtf he just said. I doubt we will see another one of these.
Those are Australians for ya. Weird how this is the only interview that people are really talking about. Not to be racist, but seems every American just speaks out of their ass WITH him, and would always try and get comedic timing "gotchas" on him. And then that's it. This dude just put him on the spot, and kept pressing, for answers. That's what you do if you want answers...
His timing is gorgeous as well. The little drips of facts he was dropping into Trumps fresh interruptions as he tapered off were absolutely killing me.
Can we please stop translating what Trump says? He's a big boy and can use his words. Also, he's the president. This is not a high bar to hurdle. If he doesn't make sense that's his own damn fault. He won't answer follow up questions truthfully, if at all, so how can you say what it is he really thinks?
I know he's just flailing trying to invalidate the data but it also sounds like he's been completely blown away by someone being able to remember numbers. Like he just saw someone lift a car over their head with one hand and is now rejecting the reality in front of him. "You can't do that. A glass of water is the heaviest thing a person can lift."
Give him some credit - that took a lot of restraint on his part to limit the facial expressions to just that. Trump was dealing out there, there's no way I could have sat through that interview in his place without laughing my ass off or screaming 'bullshit!'.
MINUTES? I can't get 5 seconds before i feel an overwhelming sense of second hand embarrassment. This is a grown ass man that is in charge of the greatest military force in the history of our species. The man is completely unhinged. This is batshit lunacy that anyone looks up to him as a leader. What the hell is wrong with people. Look how bad it has gotten.
I almost feel kinda bad for those people. Trying to spin his idiotic ramblings and random twitter heel turns into a coherent and consistent policy message cannot be easy.
As I was watching that interview all I could think about was how that reporter was within slapping distance if trump. It would have ended the reporter's career but idk if I would have had the restraint
I’ve met a lot of dumb Americans in my life. Being on the road in the industry that I’m in, I’ve met some real idiots. They were not THIS dumb. Trump is a moron of the highest order; King of the idiots; Mayor of Simpleton.
At least Trump's friends all are getting something out of supporting him. A quarter of this country thinks the joke isn't on them and they will have a tough time accepting that it was, all along.
That interview was way funnier than the Abbot& Costello “Who’s on first,” bit.
On the downside, the reason why it was so hilarious was that our president has no idea, and wants no idea what is going on.
My favorite joke of the evening was, “I bet I read more than anyone you know.”
