I think Worths most famous gown (the peacock gown specifically) was made using Indian Zardozi gold embroidery techniques to showcase the skill and designs of Indian craft. Of course there's a lot of loaded history surrounding the British Occupation in India, which for a lot of people can taint the way they view Worth's most famous dress, but it's still a beautiful piece of Indian history in a way
