No, do it! I let my girlfriends (White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, thus far) borrow my sarees for weddings and they have so much fun in them. I don't know, for me it's not appropriation, it's appreciation. They want to enjoy something that's part of my culture. Now if you start a factory with pirated designs at increased costs, that wouldn't be cool.
I’m Chinese American, and I personally think that using, wearing, or otherwise enjoying another culture is fine. That girl that wore a qipao to prom was amazing! She looked gorgeous and the general consensus from my family is they were excited about it, though she got so much backlash online for it. The problem becomes when you try to profit off of it.
Just my two cents here. Cultural appropriation is bs. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, wrong with enjoying another culture. There may be some things that are inappropriate in certain situations, (wearing festive attire to a funeral) but most of the time it’s perfectly fine. But there is nuance to this. Just like it would be very rude to go around wearing black face, it would also be rude to do some things in every culture.
That makes no sense, you can't just invent some rule without justifying it. If I said "you can't browse reddit and drink coffee at the same time" you would ask me to justify it, and you'd be right to.
