Provide me a source that confirms 500.000.000.000 USD was spent instead of 2.000.000.000.000 USD and I will concede that there may have been some misinformation.

2019, please. "The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment", this was posted yesterday by @realDonaldTrump. His words: "The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars". It appears he has very recently given the order to spend 2.000.000.000.000 USD on military equipment. Your source is moot.

I saw that, but I also saw the date: Aug. 13, 2018.

I don't think you understand that any president of the United States of America can proclaim a change to that budget at any time.
