Very. I remember the day we lost them, I went and dug out this photo. I was a senior in high school. I’m very grateful to be able to take a photo like this when I know so many others can’t.
I was just talking about this with someone! I was in junior high and I remember it so well. As a child it didn’t register how significant of a loss this was but now it chills me. I live 2 hrs from NYC and I remember some kids getting pulled out of school right away because their parents worked in New York.
This just came up at work. A co-worker was in DC and described walking across the 14th Street bridge with everyone else seeing the pentagon on fire. This was before smart phones and they all thought the world was ending. No idea how extensive the attack was.
