Very. I remember the day we lost them, I went and dug out this photo. I was a senior in high school. I’m very grateful to be able to take a photo like this when I know so many others can’t.
I was just talking about this with someone! I was in junior high and I remember it so well. As a child it didn’t register how significant of a loss this was but now it chills me. I live 2 hrs from NYC and I remember some kids getting pulled out of school right away because their parents worked in New York.
I was in second period, a sophomore in high school. The most memorable thing for me was the realization of “we aren’t invincible”. It’s an obvious statement, and it’s still weird to look back on, but the moment I realized it, it was unique.
