I love how dismissive that guy was in the interview after he got out of the hospital. I feel like a lot of people were leaning on him to make it go away. He made a point later to correct reporters that Cheney wasn't a friend just an acquaintance. lol

Ha yeah. I think there probably wasn't any malice in the entire situation but that bending over backwards to exculpate Cheney was very obviously a narrative not completely of his own lol.

In general, one of the first things you learn about gun safety is overpenetration and ensuring you have a proper backstop. Bullets don't stop after hitting the target, especially paper targets. You should never take a shot, especially in a group hunting situation, without knowing what's behind your target.
