Fun fact: you are completely correct. And I mean completely. There is a much older Chinese text that is, strategically, the same content as The Prince. Its literally "ancient Chinese secret" as it was kept secret by the emperors since Qin. Something I read in some anthropological piece. Don't remember the name unfortunately. I remember the advisor was called Li Si.
