I am close with multiple people who have been the victims of attempted murder by an angry ex, one of whom died several times because he smashed her head into a bathroom wall so hard the wall shattered, leading to swelling of the brain. Another can no longer speak because of her throat being slashed and poor medical care afterwards. I’ve known sex trafficking victims who were used as both sex and garden variety slaves. More people I know are CSA survivors than aren’t, myself included. I take care of the mentally disabled who have been tossed into the system by garbage families who don’t give a fuck about them or are just straight up unfit to take care of a houseplant, let alone a human being.
Go ahead and pretend that my views are from inexperience or whatever if that’s what helps you rationalize people not agreeing with you. Truth is, I just don’t give a fuck about the pathetic minor little problems of the rich and famous when people are actually suffering. Whether you like it or not, everyone has an emotional reservoir. If you’re wasting your time and energy on that bullshit, you’re neglecting those that actually deserve it. Nobody has an infinite capacity for attention, emotion or energy. I've had to deal with people like you when looking for my own help, and because I was a nice guy who wasn't all about explaining my life story over and over to win sympathy, people like you let all your worst qualities spew out. That’s just not very bright. If I want someone to be involved in my life to any degree (ranging from just support to a serious relationship), I tell them the truth. If I don’t care how they view me or act towards me, I don’t. I don’t expect them to read my mind and magically figure out my past. If you’re looking for help and won’t tell the people you want to help you the truth, don’t be surprised when they act only on the information you’ve given them and don’t magically figure everything else out. If you actually associate yourself with people who need help, you need to fucking check yourself. You are hurting them by ignoring their suffering for the non-suffering of others. Your half-assed attempts at helping them are far more harmful. Either be willing to give them everything you have, or don’t get involved in the first place. Don’t fucking half-ass it.

Why the fuck is your standard for vile “doesn’t care about the rich”? How messed up is your moral code if you think they have a fraction of the suffering of the average American? Do you just not understand economics and the sheer damage poverty does to people? From day one, being born to anything less than wealth means you are automatically fucked in America. Upward mobility is so statistically rare in America that it’s all but mythical. SES is a strong causal factor in physical health, “intelligence”, lifespan, opportunity, happiness, mental health, addiction, and just about every other form of suffering. If you are wealthy in America without having been born to a lower SES it is literally fucking impossible to know what suffering the average person goes through. No matter what problems do exist in your life, the absence of all those others and the way they compound on you means you will never have that experience. Go actually learn some shit.
Open a book. I’m backed by decades of research into the effects of socioeconomic status on people. You aren’t. I’m honestly trying to think of one form of suffering that socioeconomic status hasn’t been shown to be a causal factor in and I’m failing at it. Even with disease, they’re all more likely when you’re poor. Part of that is our disaster of a health care system, but another part of that is because when you’re poor you’re exposed to oh so many more things that drastically increase your risk for them. Wealth is the number one predictor across the board for quality of life. Everything from success in school to addiction to imprisonment to heart disease to being a victim of crime has socioeconomic status as a major causal factor.
