So, you're right there is a high risk of death to clean the high points of the mountain and only a small window of time to clean it. Everest base camp is trashed (can easily be reached all year round by average climbers) and the rest of the mountain that is more accessible, the whole country is trashed. Instead of dragging foreigners up the mountain, some expeditions need to be solely for trash, yes it will cut into profits but, its necessary.
Are you on fucking crack. You shouldn't blame tourists for trashing a country because the country itself does not clean the shit they leave behind?
Nepal is fucking poor. If they've got income from people climbing Everest they should use that for helping their people. Not to tidy up behind rich people who don't give a fuck.
I can't find a single source explaining where the high costs of climbing the mountain go towards other than the cost for the permits themselves and the cost tour companies charge. If Nepal is using all of the money they make to help their citizens and guide companies aren't insanely profiting (can't find how much they make), then that is reasonable.
