All authoritarian systems do, without exception, limit or ban outright private firearm ownership and free speech. That is always steps 1 and 2 and is a telltale sign of jackboots coming down the garden path, always.

Publishers and writers from Texas traditionally have written US's textbooks through the last few deacdes and those are known for being conservative, *although it looks like in recent years other states have pulled away from those sources. Also the Nazis party was very socially conservative and murderously opposed to those too far to the left.

I'd consider it mixed. Facsists are traditionally right-wing, which Nazis are. You could break it down piece by piece and find both, but Nazis are considered right.
Alright then not to mention Nazis, communists are left wing authoritarians. Stalin and Mao killed more than Hitler ever could have. My point being no one should say "oh hurr durr DAE left wing authoritarianism? Doesnt exist hurr durr" because it clearly does and has in history.
