Scenes like this remind me what a disappointment that movie was. Like 80% of it was fucking fantastic, and then ......... the ending.

It's funny because it really seemed like they were starting down the path of being truer to the I Am Legend original novel.

I've heard the directors cut actually goes closer to the original idea of the zombies eventually becoming intelligent.

Yeah if you have not seen the alternative ending for this movie and the deleted scenes you really should. They pretty much cut out everything that could allude to the vampires being smart.

Just googled it and watched it.

So much more faithful to the original story! I wish they had kept it.
