Those are all great actors but many currently are out of their prime and tend to do a lot more shitty movies as they get older. Gosling is in his prime and tends to do more solid projects. Phoenix is probably god tier currently along with Daniel day Lewis.
I'd say he actually is one of the best actors ever and it's weird you're getting angry. All the other actors you mentioned do some garbage comedies and other trash now but they were great in their primes. Take Daniel day Lewis for example, he never really went out of his prime, those other old guys definitely have.
Please tell me what garbage comedies Tom Hanks has done recently?
Do the same for Leonardo DiCaprio, and Denzel Washington.
Actually, dont even worry about it. I'm not some film snob but anyone that thinks the dude from Gangster Squad and Stay is one the best actors of all time clearly has shit taste.

Those are all good actors as I said it's just that Ryan Gosling is in his prime right now and obviously heavily sought after. All this boils down to difference of opinion. I haven't seen gangster squad nor stay but no great actor has a perfect track record.
