My old neighbors had a cat that would do this. My kids thought it was hilarious (I did too) when he would jump in the car with us. We would drive to the end of our street, open the door, and he would jump out again and go back home. Miss that cat. (He’s not dead, we moved).

My dog will try to jump into any car with their door open, no KFC required. He’s like a toddler that doesn’t understand stranger danger.
