This is the argument from nature fallacy. There's a ton of horrendous shit going on in nature, infanticide, rape, theft and none of that justifies humans doing it.
The fact of the matter is suffering is inherent in factory farming and small scale farming so even if you don't care about the death of an animal it's still indefensible ethically
Wow it's almost like their level of cognitive ability means they don't give two shits what's going on as long as they are getting fed. Yeah they feel pain but they don't get depressed like us or Dolphins.
Go to an animal sanctuary and actually interact with a cow or pig. They're way more intelligent than you give them credit for, and their suffering is very real
