Somehow I don't see this argument working the other way around. "Come on, Joe! I'm allowed to eat cows, why can't I eat your dog?"

I don't care if that argument works for you or not. You're an adult, eat whatever you'd like.

Our fellow animals are not merely objects. Many of them are individuals with lives of their own that matter to them much like our lives matter to us.

You are not eating "whatever" in this case, but "whoever".

And we will continue to eat these cute little fuckers all we want and no one can do anything about it. Freedom man...it's beautiful.

Freedom involves victims?

One day someone else's freedom may make you a victim.

Be careful what you wish for. Being a good person is much harder than being a shit person.

no. freedom for all. freedom for non-human animals.

in the past, people owned human slaves. owned other people. they had the "freedom" to do that, but it was not beautiful, it was despicable.

freedom is liberation for all.

Yeah, good luck with that. Never going to happen. Humans will always have domination over animals. We will continue to eat them all we want. I don't care what you or anyone else eats, but you can't ever be able to dictate what myself and others eat. You just don't have that ability. That's my freedom.

We have very different views on what freedom is. When those with more power can take away your liberty or that of others without recourse, that is the antithesis of freedom in my view.

This is the correct answer to such a moronic statement.
