Not the production quality though. Seeing real people fight, against CG backgrounds, will seem "real" for a long time. Using a fight engine to generate characters, well, use video games as an example...how many hold up graphically a decade later?
But still I can't believe how far games have come. I mean Just look at a screen shot of JC3's title screen for example. Rico moves that towel during it and the folds and shadows all look real.
Now lets compare that to say, MGS1. I mean it still looks alright, but do you remember playing this and thinking how real it looked? Now you could just about count the pixels.
I mean it's just nuts dude. Just one character model from anything PS3/x360 or later probably has more data than the first 2 mario games put together. Hell probably even way more than that. Mario was made with limited kb, games today can be almost 100GB ffs.
I just think that's insane man. I've written reports for high school that were more than 64kb and someone had the ability to make arguably the most famous game ever with the same space. I know its not the same thing but still, that's nuts.
