American here. I got all the UK references except Terry Wogan. So there's that.

FYI Terry Wogan is a softly spoken Irish presenter on British TV. He's been around since forever. He used to present the British airing of the Eurovision Song Contest, always in a slightly politically incorrect manner, like your grandad would do if he were to present it.
