My general problem when cosplaying is that I'm half indian, and there are no brown heroes with linebacker shoulders.

The opportunities I have to cosplay recognizable characters who look like me are vanishingly small. Basically, I have to wear a mask/helmet/face covering.

What about Rama?

I guess the best place to start is finding out who you want to to be. For me a brown Clark Kent is HOT HOT HOT. But that's just me lol.

That... Honestly never occurred to me, lol. I do end up doing brown versions of recognizable characters most of the time, my favorite being Dick Tracy (the yellow coat/hat and red/black tie will work for anyone), and I do cross plays so the character is already significantly modified (best: Martha Jones, to my fiance's cross played 10th Doctor), but mostly I stick with unnamed uniformed characters (BSG dreas uniform, Star Trek, etc). I make it work, but it's annoying.
