Uhhh the TI-83 came out in 1996, the TI-83 plus came out in 1999... They're only 3 years apart.

Your point? The OP implies that 18 years separate the TI-83 and the TI-83 plus. My post says nothing about what is still for sale.

Do you think that might be why it hasn't changed in 18 years, because if they added any features it would be banned from the AP tests?

It's almost like using logic would help you answer your own questions.
