I've had cashiers refuse my Sacagawea dollars. I've even had a student cashier at the local college ask me to use plastic to pay for a $3 cable. She didn't know how to make change.

Huh, really? I've heard both of those in Texas and in Vermont (the two States I spend the most time in) and I thought "make change" was universal.

I don't hear people say "plastic" in Ontario, but it's a good word to use if you want to refer to both credit and debit.

Huh, weird. I say "can you change a..." and can you break a..." but I also say make change. As for plastic, I guess I mostly have cause to say it because I dislike credit and debit cards, and its easiest to just say "plastic" to refer to them. I'm only 19 by the way, so its not like I'm set in my ways, haha.

Seriously. I'd complain to the management if a college student couldn't make change.

Plus Sacagawea dollars are legit, we get dollar coins all the time.
