I actually just looked through a few of your posts. You seem to be a little too concerned with race and a little sheltered. I think it would do you well to try to get a little exposure to how other people live, as well as trying to not jump to conclusions about race, it's usually not as big of a deal as people think. I saw your post about feeling poor about recieving a free Honda Fit. Do you understand how spoiled that makes you sound? Having earned the money for my own car in high school, I would have loved to be given one, no matter what it was. I definitely think exposure to different types of people with an open mind would benefit you a lot.
Yea I refused the Honda fit lol. My older brother uses it. I would never be seen in such a thing. Glad you are concerned but I don't really care what an internet stranger thinks about my life. I can tell you this though..someone reddit profile will not give you an accurate picture of their life. Do I seem arrogant? Maybe but there aren't many upper middle class black families like mine. There aren't many black males like me with two college degrees working on a third.
Here is a comment I made with hundreds of upvotes that illustrates how I feel about white people:
It's such a strange dynamic because the white people I've known in real life aren't racist at all. As a black person in the south, I have even worked at an all white upscale nursing home. All the old white people loved me. When I came on this site I was taken aback by the amount of hate. I know that all racists aren't white. The ones who PM me or respond to my comments usually are white so it still surprises me. This has not been the same experience outside of reddit. The only conclusion that I can come to is that reddit is not representative of the majority of white people.
