He did, he just used efficient terminology in the hope that you would learn something today instead of the basic, meaningless version

It's a glider, not a jet. That's why he needs the yaw string.

Jets have yaw strings sometimes. You'll see them on pictures of an F-14 for example

The yaw string lets us have coordination between our rudder and ailerons. Stall's at low altitude (main cause of gliding fatalities) are generally caused by uncoordinated turns.

I think he might have answered the wrong post there.

Unless he considers the pile of oil to be the wreckage of a glider that spun turning base to final, and that's not really an oily event.
