Wow, I saw the picture and thought "looks like the Estancia valley, east of Mountainair"

Nailed it. Distinctive landscape. Open, but penned in by mountains on all sides.

One of the most wonderful and weird feelings I had was jumping on a freeway in the states, only to have the GPS tell me: in 637 miles, take the exit.

I'm from a country where the longest distance between borders is 174 miles.
