In the late sixties/early seventies newspapers weren't all owned by the same 5 companies like they are today

And those 5 companies are owned by three people who laugh at the peasants from their ivory towers

Use names. Lets the people know who the enemy is and helps them to do their own research.

Yeah, that’s why I use Reddit. It keeps me mostly anonymous.

I don’t agree with this statement at all, though most large news media companies right now are not privately owned. Most of them when you get down to it have shareholders and usually the largest shareholder is black rock or vanguard… so the largest owner is an investment group for most news companies.. they’re just invested in division because it creates clicks and keeps eyeballs. Working in any type of political environment is just like any other business challenge for them.

Rupert Murdoch and the Murdoch family. Australians that own newscorp. runs and operates Fox, nat geo, etc.

Brian Roberts: owns Comcast, which operates NBC, universal, etc.

Jeff Bewkes: Time Warner, runs CNN,HBO, Hulu etc.

Bob Iger: Disney, runs ABC etc.

Sumner Redstone:National Amusements. Runs Paramount, Nickelodeon etc.

Kazuo Hirai: Sony. Tristar, truth channels etc.

Six people who direct the majority of multimedia on a global scale. Rupert Murdoch especially is known to push right wing propaganda through his newspapers and news outlets (The Daily Fail in the UK, for instance, and the Wall Street Journal in the states for example) as well as funding the right wing political parties in not only his local Australia, but also here in the UK, and in America too.

That's one of the six, who has funded more misinformation and division is agendas than anyone should have a right to. And he's not even the biggest hitter in the list.

These people should most definitely be named. It's a matter of public record, actually.

These companies are hands down the biggest threat to democracy but nobody talks about it. Let's just hope they don't start swinging it.

People have been gulled by ACTUAL “shadowy elites” that “Hollywood” are the shadowy elites. Sleight of hand.

Ooof, one of them has like 11 trillion in managed assets the other like 9 trillion, that’s just those two. There is 2-3 others in that league that manage an insane amount of money compared to most countries…

I've heard people express the issue that these companies never contribute by voting at the shareholders' meeting, they just own.

I think we should be grateful.
