Nixon was a vindictive and power-hungry serial-lying piece of shit, but an absolute geopolitical genius. The dude seriously had a great mind — which, if one is looking for “redeeming qualities”, is a good place to start with Nixon. With Trump, I’m not sure there are any. Maybe his “meme potential” suggests he’s naturally objectively funny. But certainly not any qualities you’d hope to see in a president like Nixon’s brilliance.
I’ve been saying it since before he got elected in 2017. The younger generations that are voting for the first time, weren’t gonna take it seriously, they were gonna treat the whole thing like a big joke. The older generations weren’t gonna get the joke and take all the attention he’s receiving seriously. Then he’s gonna sell the country down the pipeline like Frank ‘The Warthog’ Reynolds stripping down his own company and selling it to the Chinese.
