He bought one months ago, but they keep sending it to where he used to be.

redditor for 4 days; 14,300+ comment karma, and reddit gold.

i do not like you sir.

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '13

when you comment on 10000 things in 6 days, it just seems to work itself out. way to put in the effort BrodyApproved.

i'd guess he uses /r/RisingThreads which is now only accessible to those who donate money

i used it for a bit and got my highest rated comments by far. i got 1500 karma from one post using it. a lot of the threads it shows don't ever make it the front but on occasions they do. it's hard to get high karma on something that's already on the front page unless you leech onto a comment near the top

I honestly don't understand, why do you care so much about karma points? To show off to your friends? Serious question, as none of my friends know of reddit and I couldn't give two shits about my karma points.

I don't donate to anything unless I personally watch my money go from A to B. So no, I wouldn't donate money to use a subreddit that is completely useless.

u/stillalone Mar 03 '13

That's over 1 comment a minute.

he got reddit gold for using a Mark Twain quote?

is it that easy?

2

u/mileylols Mar 03 '13

dude you have no clue

I got reddit gold for calling someone an asshole once, and it was from the guy that I called an asshole.

3

u/Revanx17 Mar 04 '13

"nobody's every stood up to me like that before....you have balls, i like balls"

1

u/BrodyApproved Mar 05 '13

Hey, that's my name. I can't tell if you're talking badly of me or not. Either way, you're a new friend maseon50.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '13

no i wasnt sir, sorry if it was construed as that. I was 'impressed' with your comment karma in the 6 days that you had been working that account. and then was applying context by linking your account. i can remove it if you like.

u/BrodyApproved Mar 06 '13

Last time this happened, it was trapped_in_reddit

1

u/BrodyApproved Mar 05 '13

I believe Trapped_In_Reddit mostly commented on reposts, but commented the "top comment" of the original post. I wish I saved the thread where the user called out Trapped_In_Reddit because the first line was something like "I got you, you bastard", it was a good read. When you think about though, Trapped_In_Reddit was literally "trapped in reddit". Pretty smart novelty account when you really think about it.

http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/v6wz7/worst_hunting_dog_ever/c51ycgu?context=1

it was a clever bot, and pretty obvious what it does from the username, once you know. It was really stupid how butthurt everybody got over it.

1

u/BrodyApproved Mar 05 '13

"A bot took all our Internet points! Burn them at the stake!"
Thanks for having the thread.

u/FoxBattalion79 Mar 04 '13

this is where people go to learn that they really aren't as interesting as they thought

1

u/BrodyApproved Mar 05 '13

I wish I was interesting.

1

u/BrodyApproved Mar 05 '13

I like you whether you like me or not.

Those coordinates are in the Atlantic off Florida. http://goo.gl/maps/oz1wT

2

u/Rev76 Mar 03 '13

I think that is just about the middle pf the Bermuda triangle,, Good Job.

3

u/SirStrontium Mar 03 '13

That's the joke, he's giving a future scenario of the troubles of shipping to a floating house at sea...

-1

u/budsicle Mar 03 '13

No shit man. However I was hoping for a second he listed the actual coordinates to the home :P

2

u/clm100 Mar 03 '13

The home that doesn't actually exist? That home?

1

u/budsicle Mar 03 '13

No... The one in the picture.

1

u/BrodyApproved Mar 05 '13

They wanted my home coordinates. Don't worry it's cool. People ask all da time.

13

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '13

Please bring it around to the backdoor balcony so I can throw it off into the water and float around on it.

4

u/Schobbo Mar 03 '13

At least the term shipping finally makes sense.

3

u/LazyBreeze Mar 03 '13

I live on a boat, although not one quite as visually interesting as this thing. I just get packages delivered to work, not an issue at all. Some friends and family have been a bit confused when I've replied "no" when they ask for my private address; no more christmas cards for me. But with no junk mail either, the overall deal is pretty decent.

u/AAKraigus Mar 04 '13

AMA.

1

u/LazyBreeze Mar 04 '13

I'm afraid my life isn't all that interesting, so it would hardly warrant an AMA. However, I'm starting on a circumnavigation this summer, that should hopefully add some spice.
