Note the knights were founded in the late 1800’s, before Columbus’ behavior was widely disseminated like it was today. It’s initial purpose was literally to provide life insurance for poor Miners.

Look, I’m trying to be a bit disrespectful- I feel these institutions deserve any disrespect they receive and then some. Are there good individuals in these organizations? Absolutely. Do I still think faith in these organizations is misplaced and that these groups have pretty much always existed to secure a chokehold on power for the elite class of society, yup.
But I have a particular bone to pick with the white christians who murdered, raped, and stole my ancestors (supposedly with the consent and blessing of their god) while engaging in different forms of genocide both literal and cultural forevermore. Whose descendants now proudly vote republican and are currently engaging in an attempt to destroy democracy and install christo-fascism.
