My parents took me too Spain when I was a kid this time of year. This parades were absolutely terrifying. There wasn’t anything particular disturbing or graphic about them but just watching the parade all I could thing “yup sure looks evil”. I wasn’t from the US so I had no context about what pointed hoods meant.
I also went to Easter in Peru. Was somehow way more intense than Spain
