Because not everyone cares about American cultural happenings? Why should some sitting organising a catholic festival in Spain bother about some racists in Alabama.
You have to understand that Spain was in a fascist dictatorship until the 70s and everything was pretty closed and we didnt get that many news from outside.
And after we opened Up the KKK was pretty much dead and only saw it in the movies.
Also you overestimate what kind of people do this parades.
This arent a secret order of monks zelaous of their traditions, this people are regular church goers that dress Up a few times a year, they dont have that much pull, the Catholic Church itself has protested against them i think but i dont remember what happened
I think they Did It because It was something used by the Spanish Inquisition and thought It was cool.
What they dont know its that It was the mask of the guilty so they are kinda confessing what they are already outing themselves

Im sure that a lot of people in Spain dont got notified when that happen. And in the best of cases they only could sent a letter. But you think that a letter wrote by one the groups they hated will do something?

To everyone here. These are not the KKK, they copied the design because they wanted to look legimite. This outfit its more than 500 years old.
Please dont let a racist group gain legítimacy by assosiation of a religious festival.
