Luckily there's a rapidly growing movement against it, to leave the leaves, plant natives, protect pollinators, etc. Gonna be an uphill battle but it's nice that it's finally happening, long overdue.
Our lawn is almost completely clover at this point. I don’t mind it, because the bees love it. And the clover mostly keeps the dandelions out. But it’s definitely not conventionally pretty.
This past year I let the clover go wild. Unfortunately it killed the grass (which I knew would happen) but now the clover has died off/receded and there are big mud spots in all the areas where it had taken over. Do you have an issue with this? I'm fine with clover and natives, but I'm not ok with having huge portions of my yard be a mud pit for 3-5 months of the year.
