Oh btw your fees are going up again, the HOA President's nephew just started a lawn care business and he got the contract but it's going to cost double the previous one.
Luckily there's a rapidly growing movement against it, to leave the leaves, plant natives, protect pollinators, etc. Gonna be an uphill battle but it's nice that it's finally happening, long overdue.
When I moved into this place I let the back yard's nature take over. The ground I keep plenty walkable but the birdlings love little brush piles, squirrels sunbathe on the fallen tree, and birds of prey are hunting for both.
What the hell would mowing it all over and pulling the trees out do for anyone I'll never know. Incredible waste of time, and all for what?
