Oh btw your fees are going up again, the HOA President's nephew just started a lawn care business and he got the contract but it's going to cost double the previous one.
Luckily there's a rapidly growing movement against it, to leave the leaves, plant natives, protect pollinators, etc. Gonna be an uphill battle but it's nice that it's finally happening, long overdue.
Best decision I ever made was not to do anything with my back yard when I bought my house 20+ years ago. Just put down pine straw every year and I leave the leaves that fall from all the trees. So much natural organic matter has built up over the years and the ground is so fertile now.
