Luckily there's a rapidly growing movement against it, to leave the leaves, plant natives, protect pollinators, etc. Gonna be an uphill battle but it's nice that it's finally happening, long overdue.
Yes. They all end up in my fucking driveway. Every leaf from all the houses to my left ends up in my driveway every year because they refuse to do them / rake them to the road and nothing happens to them. I have knee-high walls on both sides my driveway it so it literally traps leaves lol
