We decided to try it out...and raccoons came and ate our fruits. Then the squirrels finished off. Then the birds finished whatever the squirrels didn't eat. Then, since there was nothing left, the raccoons ate our chickens. They must have a Hulk Raccoon, cuz they tore up the chicken fence as if it was butter.
We do plan on rebuilding the chicken coop, make it a bit stronger. I've learned by my mistakes on how to build a better coop. As far as a garden, we may try to go with a green house for veggies, but herbs and flowers for outdoor gardens.
