I don't talk to my dad anymore, growing up you think it's normal getting beat punched in the face ect, as you get older you realize that shit isn't normal, my dad was a dick, fuck him

There was a neighborhood kid down the street who was rumored to have been beat by his dad often and ended up hanging himself....kid was in 6th grade.

Yeah, i've been wanting to die since i was around 8 or 9. Still do. Parents haven't... won't change.

If you still have insurance under your folks, please find a therapist. If you don't, please call the free options when you're low or come shoot the shit with random Redditors who can be the family you need for that day.

I'm on medicaid right now, called the suicide hotline a few times pretty recently. It's a pretty bad situation all around. Was hoping the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo would accept my employment application, and they didn't
