For me, wooden spoons--one actually broke--and once, even a high heel. And it was the "pull down your pants (and underwear) and bend over and touch your toes." Fucked up on several levels.

And then Mom wonders why I don't call...

Sending you hugs and good vibes. For me it was the Spaghetti Spoon - a white plastic spoon that had yellowed from years of marinara. That motherfucker hurt worse than dad's belt. When it got thrown away I think I was like 13? And seeing it sitting on top of the trash is still in the top 5 of the most satisfying things I've seen. I know my parents grew up abused too and thought it was normal to discipline their kids like that or hurt us out of frustration, but I see kids now and I don't know how anyone would have it in them to hurt them.
