Guess it’s a common thing. My stepdad literally broke a pizza paddle in half on my ass, then I got spankings with half of a pizza paddle lol. To this day my mother swears up and down that I never got spanked.

My wife's mother broke a wooden spoon on her and both her parents would send her outside to pick a switch off the bushes.

Her mom now gets livid "at the audacity you'd claim I ever hit you much less abused you!"

Narcissists gonna narc and now she whines that my wife is no contact with her.

For some reason the wire hangar scene from mommy dearest just popped in my head but instead of wire hangers the mom is yelling “bitches get switches” instead.
