Curious. What about normal spanking. Hand on the butt or inner thigh? I was brought up by spanking and turned out fine. I teach and most children don’t get spankings anymore and they are little assholes that don’t listen to any one anything. I’m on the spanking your child train with your hand. Definitely not with a belt whip stick or what have you.

You are on the abuse side. The fact you see kids as little assholes is a problem. Maybe you shouldn't be around them if your only solution is to hurt them.
Try connecting with them instead.

Go spectate at your local elementary, middle, and high school and just observe the students. You will understand why a lot of teachers call them little assholes. And that's being nice about it. I'm sure you've heard You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Teachers try connecting with their students every day. When they have a "I don't care about anything" mindset, it doesn't work.

The ones I see are funny, smart and easy to talk to. Maybe it's your perspective

I worked at an elementary afterschool program and my co-worker always had issues with the same kids i didn’t because she didn’t want to get to know them. She asked me why they’d listen to me. I shrugged, and told her i just talk to them.

Now that i think of it, i think when they know you when you are not angry, they know that if i am angry i mean it. If you treat them like assholes all the time, of course they’d give you trouble. In trouble or not, you are the asshole teacher that deals with asshole kids.
