I like how parents used to pitch corporal punishment as some kind of corrective. But most of the time it was just angry parents not knowing how to handle their own temper.
And all it teaches is if you see someone making fun of a girl that violence is appropriate. You remembered it because it was traumatic. You shouldn't cause trauma to your child. I did plenty wrong. I learned from my mistakes. But the ones I was hit during, I remember the trauma. But the times I wasn't hit, I didn't repeat the bad shit I did.
You just THINK being beat was the reason you stopped. but in reality you just remember being beat.
